The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences gives only 10 slots to honor outstanding performance. If you add all the snubs from the lead category to the total, you will get a staggering number. These are actors who have not received nominations for their lead roles in major movies, but have had their supporting roles nixed. Unfortunately, these talented actors were screwed over at minimum once.
Will Smith
Oscars have many nominees and Will Smith has not been nominated. His chance may come soon. He is likely to win Best Actor, given his performance as King Richard. Smith was nominated for Ali in 2002, and The Pursuit of Happiness 2007 in 2007.
Jessica Chastain
Jessica Chastain's Academy Award nomination has never been announced, but that shouldn’t be surprising. Despite the fact that her acting career has been largely successful, many consider her to be the next Meryl Streep. She never lived up the hype. Although she tried to become a political activist, her inability to take on controversial topics was a major problem. Chastain has good chances of being nominated.
Jeff Daniels
Actor Jeff Daniels has won several awards and accolades throughout his career, including two Emmys, three Tony nominations, and five Golden Globe nominations. He has never been awarded the Oscar despite his many awards. His greatest accomplishment is his inability to be recognized by the Academy. But is this really such a bad thing? Let's take a look at the reasons Jeff Daniels didn't win an Oscar.

Sigourney Weaver
Sigourney has been nominated only three times for an Oscar in her long career. She was nominated in 1987 for Best Actress for Alien, and 1989 for "Working Girl". But she has never been awarded the Oscar. That's not to say that we shouldn't consider her because of her amazing work and impressive resume. Despite her long list of nominations, she's never won a major award, and her career still has a lot of work ahead of her.
Steve Buscemi
For four decades, Steve Buscemi has remained a consistently great character actor in American movies, including "The Big Lebowski," "Ghost World," and "The Death of Stalin." He always exudes charm and charisma in every one of these movies. And yet he has never received a nomination for an Oscar. It's a shame that a veteran actor like Buscemi hasn't received the recognition he deserves.
Naomi Watts
Naomi Watts' role as Naomi in 2001's The Thin Red Line, despite not being nominated for an Academy Award is a triumphant one. A perky blonde from Deep River in Ontario dreams of making it big as an actor. In her shower, she finds an amnesiac brunette. Watts shows the subversive impulses hiding beneath her sunny facade. Her audition scene with an elderly actor is exceptional.
John Goodman
John Goodman was not nominated for an Academy Award because of many factors, but none as impressive as his numerous other roles. Goodman has been praised for his roles in comedies and in serious films and is considered one of the most talented actors in the world. Despite not receiving any nominations, Goodman has been highly praised by audiences and critics alike.

Producing a movie can cost around $100 million. If you produced ten movies per year for a decade you would have enough money to purchase a small country.
