Ryan Lochte's twitter account was different after the 2012 Olympics. The swimmer had embraced the "sex idiot" persona that he had made famous by portraying himself on the TV show 30 Rock. He promised to release a new track if his tweet received a hundred thousand retweets. Both fans and critics found this disappointing. He was also accused by critics of devaluing himself and using equipment that wasn't even his.
Mark Adams (IOC director of communications) denies that Lochte’s tweet concerning his Microsoft Surface led him to be arrested. Lochte's tweet regarding the incident that allegedly robbed him from his Microsoft Surface should be deleted.
