How many movies is Hollywood making in a single year?
Hollywood studios produce around 3,000 films per year. It's true, there are three thousand!
These films are marketed by Hollywood, which spends billions of dollars. They spend millions on their production. They also spend millions promoting them. But how many end up actually getting seen in the theaters, do you think?
It's probably between 200-300. The question is, what happens to all the other 2,700+ films? Well, most are either made as direct-to-video releases, or they just sit there gathering dust in storage vaults.
They are not all destined to be overlooked. Some of these have been selected to be distributed via Netflix, Amazon Prime or Hulu Plus.
So why don't we see more of them? Why aren’t they being shown in theaters instead? Because they're too expensive to produce.
They could also be made cheaper and put into theaters.
This is where I come in. I can help you to find the best way to get your film into theaters.
I will show you how to maximize the return on your investment (ROI), and increase your chances of seeing your film in theaters.
Because let's face it...
It can be very difficult to get your film in theaters. The process is long, complex and full of legalities.
You may end up spending a lot of money before you get started.
To make matters worse, the window of time during which you can distribute your film is extremely limited.
There isn't enough time in between the time a movie is finished and when its theatrical run starts.
Why don't more filmmakers use crowdfunding websites like Indiegogo or Kickstarter?
Crowdfunding is a great way to connect with potential investors.
Most filmmakers don’t believe they have the right to ask for money. They feel they must have someone to speak for them.
Since they haven’t proved themselves yet, they don’t think anyone should make an investment in them.
Instead, they spend long hours working on their project, in hopes of someone noticing.
Then they realize that they didn't properly prepare for the launch of their campaign.
Instead of thousands of dollar, they get a handful of donations.
